The Buckinghamshire Secondary Transfer Test — commonly called the Bucks 11+ — is the selective entrance examination that determines grammar school eligibility for all 13 state grammar schools in Buckinghamshire. It is produced by GL Assessment and consists of two 45-minute papers covering verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning (including spatial), mathematical reasoning, and English comprehension. All instructions are delivered via audio recording. The test is sat in September of Year 6, approximately 12 months before secondary school begins. Registration closes in June of Year 5.
